Bungendore Show, Farm Shop Sat, Tomatoes, Zucchini and Garlic

IMG_9665We’ll be joining in at the Bungendore Show this Sunday 31 Jan – a great day out for everyone. So, that means we will have the farm shop open on Saturday instead of Sunday if you were going to drop by.

We have loads of premium beef mince plus whole chickens and a stack of veggies including:

We’ve just processed premium beef mince – great for making your own hamburgers, spag bol, nachos and more – especially with all the lovely veg we have on offer this week too.


Braidwood Farmers Market, Southside Farmers Market this weekend

Welcome the rain!

Our on-farm shop is open this weekend 3-7pm on Friday and 11-4 on Sunday. Plus, we’ll be at Braidwood Farmers Market and Southside CIT Woden Farmers Markets.

Chicken, duck, garlic and loads more. Drop in to the farm shop to say hi, for a refreshing drink on the way to the coast – or, if it stays cool, a coffee or te.

We’ll be harvesting the following fruit and veggies, but get in quick as they sell out fast:

  • Garlic
  • Shallots
  • Beans
  • Salad Mix
  • Stir-fry Mix
  • Zucchini
  • New potatoes
  • Plus we’ll have Caroola Produce Preserves

Last markets before Christmas, poultry, pork and garlic

Get your Christmas food stocks sorted this weekend, or pickup fresh poultry next Wednesday for a great holiday feast.

Garlic Braids for order, fresh pork, new potatoes and other happenings…

IMG_2205This week we will have fresh pork, including loads of sausages (that sold out last time Chef Christophe cooked them at the Southern Harvest Farmers Market) and mince. Plus we still have chicken and duck and have braided garlic for Christmas or long term storage.

This week – rain, garlic scapes, young garlic, fresh pork and more

IMG_2704Apart from the amazing rain falling at the moment…

This week on the farm we are harvesting:

Lovely lettuces, radishes, almost the end of the kale, broad beans, brocollini, garlic (young, as it is a little too wet to harvest the whole lot for drying), garlic scapes (yum!), limited beetroots and a few turnips.

In this episode we talk to a truly inspirational woman who shares her story about what it means to roll with the punches and build a thriving farm business from nothing.

Penny Kothe from Caroola Farm on the NSW Southern Tablelands was born on the western side of the Snowy Mountains.  She finished off her schooling in Sydney before working in corporate roles both in Sydney and in Singapore. But the land kept calling and she returned to run a conventional beef farm in 2007.
