The fourteenth Australasian Permaculture Convergence will be held in Canberra from 15-19 April 2018. Canberra City Farm Education Centre Open Day and Launch.
Local community group Canberra City Farm is officially launching their education centre in Fyshwick as part of their Open Day being held on Sunday 19 November 2017.
Canberra City Farm signed a 10-year licence agreement with the ACT Government in October 2015, to establish a community-run Education Centre at a site on Dairy Road in Fyshwick.

Spring is always great, moving away from the freezing overnight temperatures and basking in the sun, but a bit of rain to help give it a kick start is always a good thing.
We’ve had small amounts of overnight rain in the past few weeks that the garden was thirsting for – yay! The Potatoes are taking off (no, not ready yet by a long shot, but we are mounding them), and this week we are planting out more pumpkin plus the tomatoes and basil!

We’re cooking up some pork crackling for treats and the garden is producing:
Roundhouses are an ancient building method dating back to as early as the Bronze Age. These structures are quick, easy and cheap to set up and are a perfect building option to create a guest room, shed space or a studio.
This workshop will be led by Dan Harris-Pascal who has studied natural building and Bio-construction in Australia, New Zealand and Chile. The wattle and daub roundhouse emerged by blending a range of natural building techniques.
