We’re in the midst of garlic harvest, raising ducklings, planting out seedlings and more…

Garlic harvest in full swing!

So, the time has come for the great garlic harvest!

The soil is wet and more rain is forecast, but there is not a hope we’ll have it all out of the ground this week.

We’re having a garlic harvesting party on Tuesday 21 November – starting at 8am. All welcome, bring yourself, pack a lunch, hat and whatever else you choose.

Yay, a whole day of rain – 47.5mm and the garden swales are full.

With the NEW Queanbeyan Farmers Market this Thursday, we are getting ready this week for a double harvest of:

We are excited and we hope you are too – see you this Thursday at the new Southern Harvest Farmers Market at Queanbeyan

There has been a huge response from stallholders and also consumers, excited to see a regional mid-week market starting in their area.

Caroola Farm is one of the founding stallholders and we’ll be there with fresh, organic pastured pork, fresh organic grass-fed beef, Hillside Pastured Farm Chicken plus, duck eggs, chicken eggs, kombucha, a fresh batch of apple cider vinegar and loads of garden greens.

Get your fresh local produce straight from the region.

Sign up now to the new  produce box being coordinated by Southern Harvest and supported by Canberra City Farm. Available for collection in Bungendore, Queanbeyan and Canberra.

We’ll provide to you on a seasonal basis (Summer, Autumn, Winter and Spring) 13 weekly $30 fruit and vegetable boxes – plus we’ll have other options for purchase and inclusion online such as eggs, honey and bulk goods on a weekly basis (stay tuned).
