Free-range Turkeys for Christmas

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAWe know, we know it’s only September, but when you want to grow Turkeys in time for Christmas you need to start thinking about it now… The turkey poults arrived this week but we have very limited numbers – first in, best dressed as they say 😉

So, we encourage you to think and to submit an online order (below) if you’d like to reserve a Caroola Farm Pastured Turkey for this Christmas. We’ll ask you to confirm your order by making a deposit of $25 per bird.

Turkeys can be finicky young things, and this is going to be our third go at raising them, with a little knowledge and expertise from our friends at Wynlen House in Braidwood to make sure we keep them healthy and grow them strong.

Our turkeys were delivered as day olds and as they are so young need to be kept warm and secure – just like our chickens do. Over 16 to 20 weeks they will grow out on a combination of pasture and certified organic feed before being taken to Canowindra for processing just in time for Christmas.

We’re looking forward to raising our third batch of turkeys who are incredibly curious and need lots of activities.

We require a large turkey ‘buffet’ not a whole bird. Will this product be available for Christmas 2016? If so, what is the price?

How much would a 8kg turkey be?
