We had a lovely 25mm of rain over the weekend – whew! What a blessing – better than none and better than 75mm our friends had and lost fences!
We’ve put a body of beef in to the butcher, but it won’t be ready until the markets on Saturday, so you’ll have to hold your horses if you are after fresh beef. And we’ll have fresh Hillside Pastured Chicken then too! Let us know if you want us to save you something 🙂
In the meantime we have ‘great deals’ on a selection of whole chicken, frames, feet, necks and more for the market on Thursday in Queanbeyan.
We made the most awesome Thai chicken cakes (like fish cakes only with chicken) for dinner the other night – a fabulous summer meal with a cucumber and chilli dressing – yum (will post the recipe soon)
We’re still catching up on planting out greens to get our salad mix back into production after the heat, but suffice to say the garden is booming.
