Local, organic produce this week…

It’s been a busy week (as always) – with garlic harvesting, tomato planting, the Canberra City Farm Open day and more… Like looking at the draft NSW Planning Permission changes as well as the review of the EPA legislation – hmm….

However, firstly a HUGE congratulations to Canberra City Farm on an awesome day out – what a long way the farm has come and what a great effort to pull off such a fantastic display with food, drink farm tours, farm implements, demonstrations and tours!

The big news this week is of course braided garlic – yum, and sooo pretty too!

In addition the broadbeans are starting to boom, we have loads of salad mix, stir-fry greens and other lovely discoveries in the garden.

We’ll have fresh, pastured, organic pork (and hopefully some pork tasters at all markets), plus fresh pastured Chicken from Hillside farm, along with a range of organic grass-fed beef.

We’re trying to keep up with the Kombucha, it’s in high demand, but we do have loads of herbal teas as well as chicken, beef and vegetable stock.

The duck and chicken eggs are also in high demand, but we just have to take what nature gives us (and we’ll bring them to the markets too)…

Soooo… come along and check out what we have this week at:

  • Queanbeyan Farmers Market, Crawford Street, 3-6pm Thursday
  • Bungendore Farmers Market, Butmaroo Street, 9-12noon Saturday
  • Southside Farmers Market, Canberra College, 8-11.30am Sunday

Woohoo!
