The Garlic Olympics at Bungendore

Well, the great garlic olympics in Bungendore (read the garlic entries at the Bungendore Show) are over for another year.

Congratulations to Simone Dilkara who took out first and second place (who does that?) And our own Penny Kothe took out third.

We agreed that actually it was a credit to the gorgeous compost from Lantasia Compost, our neighbours at Caroola Farm.

  • Bungendore Farmers Market Saturday 9am-12noon
  • Southside Farmers Market Sunday 8-11.30am

We’ll have Fresh, Organic, Grass-Fed lamb – only until it sells out, so get in quick.

We’ll have Hillside Pastured Chicken plus Organic Grass-Fed Beef and Organic Pastured Pork.

Garlic harvest in full swing!

So, the time has come for the great garlic harvest!

The soil is wet and more rain is forecast, but there is not a hope we’ll have it all out of the ground this week.

We’re having a garlic harvesting party on Tuesday 21 November – starting at 8am. All welcome, bring yourself, pack a lunch, hat and whatever else you choose.
