We are not doing our traditional, full scale Open Day, but we are offering Farm Tours, picnic space and a Long Table Lunch.

Caroola Farm is a family-owned, permaculture-based, beyond organic, local-market farm and informational outreach in the NSW Southern Tablelands. Established in 2012 with the intention to be a permaculture demonstration farm and working, profitable farm to service the local community. It is operated by Penny Kothe and Paul McKinnon.

In this episode we talk to a truly inspirational woman who shares her story about what it means to roll with the punches and build a thriving farm business from nothing.

Penny Kothe from Caroola Farm on the NSW Southern Tablelands was born on the western side of the Snowy Mountains.  She finished off her schooling in Sydney before working in corporate roles both in Sydney and in Singapore. But the land kept calling and she returned to run a conventional beef farm in 2007.

Our next Open Day is Sunday 3 May from 10am until 4pm. Followed by dinner (limited bookings) of Caroola Farm Produce at Le Tres Bon in Bungendore at 6pm (booking separate and direct with Le Tres Bon on (02) 6238 0662).

We will have a range of guest speakers (yet to be announced) doing short presentations on the hour every hour, plus regional produce for sale from a variety of producers.
